How we are handling Coronavirus at Midwest Vasectomy Reversals
Fortunately our area has been less affected by Coronavirus compared to many other parts of the country. That said, an abundance of caution is a reasonable response to the risks. While the state of Missouri (and most other states) are under orders to 'shelter in place', traveling for healthcare is exempt from that restriction.
To protect our patients, we have implemented a number of changes to our typical practices. When you come to our office, we will ask you to limit the people with you to one other person. You and your support person will join all of us in wearing masks during your entire visit. If you are the 9:30 appointment, we will ask you to stay in your car until we text you that we are ready for you so we can sanitize the office. This should be around 9:15 but could be a bit later. Feel free to text our office at 636-492-1323 if it is 9:30 and you haven't heard from us.
Please bring a couple of bags of frozen peas or ice packs with you. You can leave them in your car or bring them to store in the freezer section of our fridge. You should also bring some ibuprofen (typical 200mg pills) with you. This will make things easier for you on the day of surgery. There is a pharmacy right across the street so your support person can fill your prescription for pain medicine in case you need it after the surgery (many people don't).
If you are feeling ill, have had a fever or cough, or other signs of Covid-19, please notify us immediately. If you have a known exposure, please let us know that as well.
Please feel free to contact us if you have questions.
